About Dallas Region

The Dallas Region data center market has grown steadily over the past five years. Demand in the Dallas market often originates from companies with a large presence in the area. However, many companies outside the area evaluating the Dallas market find it appealing. Most companies go to Texas due to the state’s central location, affordable real estate prices, and aggressive tax incentives.
The Dallas area in particular has a diversified labor force, with strong growth recently from the technology and services industries. The initial growth of Dallas s data center market originated in the downtown area of Dallas. Because the downtown area is rich in telecommunication infrastructure, several office buildings were retrofitted to accommodate data center users. Data center growth in Dallas traditionally comes from financial, technology, managed services/cloud, telecommunications, and the healthcare industry.

Benefits of Colocation

The colocation customer is able to share in the expensive power, cooling, security, fire suppression and other components that go into making a data center ready for mission- critical IT infrastructure in 2025. Building your own data center – assuming you can even get the necessary power to your location – means you have to buy each component yourself.

And remember, you have to buy for the future, because you won’t be building new data centers every three to five years. This is before you take into account cost of land/real estate/rent, labor and other expenses.

Reliability

Our Data Centers are build to handle the IT demands of 2025. Our Tier IV facilities provide industry standard 99.999% uptime for long stretches. The gear is cutting edge. The operational staff is 100% focused and certified on our facilities. Monitoring and maintenance is highly scrutinized.

We offer you an opportunity to update your old servers, storage units, networking gear and other hardware components with the high-density, converged infrastructure of today. Move in to your brand new facilities and secure your uptime with an upgrade of your critical power infrastructure – brand new UPS units, generators, and cutting edge technology of liquid cooling to provide reliability for your valuable data load.

Direct Access to Hyperscale Clouds

We offer direct access to cloud providers like AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, IBM/Softlayer, Oracle Cloud, and numerous others. This means faster, more secure connections for higher-performing applications and data transfer. Simply order a cross-connect and begin configuration of your hybrid cloud integration.

Improved Energy Efficiency

According to the Uptime Institute, the average PUE of a data center in 2007 was 2.5 – twice that of data centers being built today. This has more than just an environmental impact. Power is the largest cost component in any data center. If your data center is a 2.5 PUE or worse, you could be wasting a million dollars per year on a one megawatt deployment.

Access to Networks / Carrier Services

Our colocation facilities are carrier-neutral. This means you are not locked into one provider who offers carrier services to our location. Depending on the amount of bandwidth/network capacity you need, this can be a big deal.

Audit and Compliance

Passing IT audits and maintaining compliance for regulated organizations is a challenging, time-consuming undertaking. Aging in-house data centers offer an unpredictable outcome during audit season with aging infrastructure mentioned earlier. Part of compliance success lies with the employees submitting the data. Moving in to a colocation facilities simplifies this process for you annually.

Security

Our Colocation facilities are highly-secure buildings dedicated to powering IT hardware. MSB Global Services data centers are all located within one large campus surrounded with a smart fence and serve multiple uses, distracting from physical security protecting the data center from unauthorized access. Common security features include three-factor access denials with biometric scanners, key cards and PIN codes. Also, colocation data centers feature mantraps, anti-tailgating turnstiles, campus-wide CCTV monitoring, and trained security personnel on-site 24-hours a day. Visitors cannot get to the building without passing security verification at the gate/ street level security station.

Colocation protects your digital assets better than in-house facilities.

Natural Disasters, Risk Mitigation

We take this into account from site selection to real-time weather monitoring and emergency alert protocols. All of our data centers are deployed on land that is outside of 500-year flood plains, reducing the likelihood of water damage.

MSB Global Services facilities are prepared for earthquakes with spring-mounted infrastructure and proper bracing. Although our locations are not in areas at high risk for hurricanes, all our colocation data centers are built to withstand category 5 winds for maximum resiliency. This gives your enterprise an immediate cash infusion and eliminates the constant upkeep necessary to ensure the facility meets the changing demands of IT. We continuously invest money in upgrades following the transaction, meaning your enterprise also now benefits from a fully upgraded data center along with the financial benefits. MSB Global Services bring in additional carriers and services providers, diversifying the ecosystem available to the enterprise.

Chances are, if a storm comes and knocks out power to the city, the only buildings still fully operational will be colocation data centers.
